Women have come a long way in the video game industry, but inequalities remain. Join our panel of inspiring women working in the industry for a tea and cake-fueled conversation about the status of women in gaming and what’s being done to make the industry an equal place for all. H﻿ost: Danni Pratt, Business Partner, Talent acquisition, sourcing, and campus advisor P﻿anellists: <ul><li>S﻿ally Blake, CEO at Silent Games</li><li>E﻿mily Brown, 3D Vehicle artist at Rivet Games</li><li>F﻿rancesca Broadbent, 3D animator at Behaviour Interactive</li></ul>Cake and tea will be served :) The event is free but to give more meaning to this conversation, Behaviour Interactive donated to InnovateHer and invite you to do the same. InnovateHer is a social enterprise launched in 2017, with the mission of getting more girls ready for the tech industry and the tech industry ready for girls. They fulfil their mission across 3 main areas of work: educational programmes, partner network and campaigning. Over the last 5 years, they have reached over 35,000 students and have the ambition to increase this substantially by the end of 2023. Their focus on social mobility ensures that they are levelling the playing field and offering fair opportunities for all. They can support the economy through the very core of their mission: raising aspirations of girls across the UK and inspiring their future careers path and getting them into better-paid work. They believe that you cannot be what you cannot see. Therefore, by putting women currently in tech roles in front of students, they directly show young girls and non-binary students where they could be in the next few years, and how to get there, which will therefore raise aspirations significantly.
