Cake Date

Cake Date is a low-stakes way to get creative, satisfy your sweet tooth, and make sapphic connections.

At this dessert-before-dinner happy hour we will learn Rachael's cake decorating tips before decorating our own 4-inch layered cakes with icing, edible flowers, ribbon and more.

The Details
You will leave with cake decorating knowledge, a unique-to-you decorated mini cake, and hopefully a new friend :)

Also, we worked with a local wine expert to curate a wine pairing and snacks to fuel your creativity. (And of course there's an NA option!)

​The cake we’ll be decorating:

• Base: ​Olive Oil Cake
• Filling: Citrus Curd or Fruit Jam
• Icing: Swiss Merengue Buttercream or Mascarpone Whipped Cream

*Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate any allergies / dietary restrictions.

Your ticket covers the cost of materials and helps nudge you to show up. We get it, it's all too easy to bail last minute -- especially when trying something new!

We encourage you to make a night of it and plan to grab dinner at one of the many La Encantada restaurants afterwards.

Sonoran Sapphics is where sapphic people find and forge community through shared experiences in the Sonoran desert. This idea was born out of a desire to foster more queer joy in the Tucson area.

Holy Focaccia is a Tucson based micro-bakery that specializes in focaccia and Italian-inspired delectables. Find them in and around town at weekly farmer's markets and monthly pop-up events.

Cancelation Policy
Unfortunately for this event tickets are non-refundable/exchange-able! Please double check your calendar. In the event you are no longer able to make it, you are welcome to give your ticket to a friend. Just send us an email.
