CAIR Talks

The CAIR-TX, DFW Chapter was formed in 1998 and is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax-deductible, grassroots advocacy and civil rights organization. CAIR was first established to promote an accurate image of Islam and Muslims in America and has evolved into the largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization in the U.S.CAIR's vision is to be a leading advocate for social justice and mutual understanding. Our mission is to enhance understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.

We are so excited to invite you to this discussion! Too often, as young Muslim adults, we have a difficult time finding a space to discuss race - where can we talk about our realities safely? The masjid? The community centre? Our parents? Our school? Our workplace?
CAIR wants to facilitate this safe space for you, for all of us. It is no secret that we are living in a complicated political climate, especially as Dallas residents in the wake of the July 7th shootings. We  recognize that your identity is defined by much more than just being Muslim or American - let's break it down and explore our lived realities together.
