This training is designed to offer foundational learning on the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) for Children's Advocacy Center and freestanding multidisciplinary team professionals who serve AI/AN children and families. This session will provide an overview of the historical context and purpose of the ICWA, while also offering practice implications and strategies to consider when serving Indigenous families. The training will expand the knowledge base of CAC professionals to better serve AI/AN victim(s)of crime.

Continuing educations units are approved for CLE, CLEET, VWC, licensed social workers, LPC, LMFT, and LADC; pending for CLE, CLEET, VWC, LPC, LMFT, and LADC; and eligible for LPC, and LMFT.
