SWAG(SW Action Group for Social Justice) was formed in August 2016 to support membersin taking direct, local action for social and racial justice.UNLOC Pdx(United Neighbors Linked and Organized for Change) was formed after the 2016 election to address anticipated political and social challenges.

SWAG and UNLOC, two SW Portland social action groups, are excited to partner with Teressa Raiford of Don't Shoot Portland to bring her hands-on, interactive workshop on bystander support &amp; intervention to Multnomah Village. The primary focus of this workshop is learning how to be an ally and accomplice when encountering threats to others in our communities, and how we can reduce danger while keeping ourselves and others safe. 
Please join us Monday July 31st from 6:00pm - 9pm @ Riversgate Church in Multnomah Village. Doors will open at 6:00pm for networking, snacks and seating, workshop begins at 6:15pm. 
All some tickets will be available at the door, we encourage you to register before the event.  A sliding scale donation of $10-$25 is requested to secure your ticket. All proceeds benefit Don't Shoot Portland. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
