She blends her politics, activism, and art into projects that are designed to inspire others to take action, think, discuss, engage with democracy and their community, and find some digital/analog balance. Learn the 5 D's of bystander intervention and how to apply them.

This training is presented by <a href="https://www.advancingjustice-chicago.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Asian Americans Advancing Justice | Chicago</a> as part of the <a href="https://www.badasscrossstitch.com/how-to-be-a-good-human" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">How To Be A Good Human</a> skill share series. This training is pay-what-you-can with 100% of the donations going directly to Advancing Justice and the invaluable work they do. Please be as generous as you can be. In this interactive online training, participants will:<ul><li>learn about the types of disrespect and dangers that Asian and Asian American folks are facing right now and throughout history — from micro-aggressions to violence.</li></ul><ul><li>understand what to look for in scenarios and the positive impact that bystander intervention has on individuals and communities.</li></ul><ul><li>talk through five strategies (5Ds) for intervention and how to prioritize your own safety while intervening.</li></ul><ul><li>practice using the 5Ds so that participants are confident intervening the next time they witness Anti-Asian harassment.</li></ul>I cannot say enough about this training! Anyone who wants to feel empowered to act in moments where they witness harassment and violence must take this workshop.
