Carmen Guerra, M.D., M.S.C.E, Associate Professor of Medicine and Vice Chair for Diversity and Inclusion at PSOM's Department of Medicine and Associate Director of Diversity and Outreach at the Abramson Cancer Center, will present an interactive Bystander Intervention Training.

Bystander Intervention Training, also know as Upstander Training, aims to develop an anti-discrimination and anti-racist culture by teaching attendees the skills to help others who are targets of bias, discrimination or racism. The program uses a framework to teach several different methods of expressing support for individuals who are targets of discriminatory or racist language and behavior. This program aspires to create a safer and more supportive campus community and society.
