Can I play without a rating?

If no rating is available for players in USCF or Bushwick Local Rating, a temporary 1500 rating floor will be provided upon entry.

Bushwick Chess Blitz Battle is locally rated and will not affect USCF or FIDE ratings.

What happens if a teammate drops out?

Teams may substitute a total of (1) player and must appoint said player to the Tournament Director at the end of the previous round.

Absolutely! Players without a team will be auto drafted into the best fitting groups. Everyone of all skill levels welcome.
