Are you looking for opportunities to go canoeing this summer? Join Rural Action for an afternoon float on Burr Oak Lake! The canoe float will take place on Saturday, May 18th, from 11 am - 3 pm at Burr Oak Dock Area #3. Lunch will be provided and canoes will also be available, but feel free to bring your own canoe or kayak. Rural Action staff and AmeriCorps members will guide participants in some local water quality education and history as we float on the lake and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature.

We will be canoeing on open water and experience is recommended. The watercrafts have a maximum load capacity, if you have special requirements, please contact us at mattm@ruralaction.org for accommodations or questions.

Your generous donations help Rural Action continue programming, education, and outreach in our region. The suggested donation for this event is $20 per person.

Registration is required by Wednesday, May 15th. Details and event itinerary email will be sent after registration.
