Welcome to Spoken Word ELEVATED
We are more than just a poetry event that gathers 1st Wedsnesdays of each month. Each event has Open Mic, vendor shopping to support local businesses, good food, drinks & music! We ELEVATE Art + Culture + Therapy as well as small businesses. The ambiance and community is EVERYTHING, giving all the vibes! Each month brings a twist with new poets, singers, and over all talent right here in our city of Indianapolis, Indiana.
June's THEME: “Built for Resilience”
The month of June, we honor Juneteenth, Father’s Day, and Black Music Month. We’re celebrating everything Black, including our featured poet of the month, Hypnotiq, who brings years of amazing spoken word talent to our community! You’re in for a treat! We meet 1st Wednesdays of EVERY month from 6-9pm (except January, which is the only month we DO NOT schedule an event to rest & plan for the year ahead).
Yes, but you will pay more at the door, which is $20. We don’t want to charge an expensive amount, but waiting until the last minute is not advised since online tickets sales close by 3pm the day of the event.

Yes. You can bring young people. We normally have attendees that range from teens to ages 60+. We believe poetry should inspire everyone and do our best to make that type of environment. What is shared on stage is what we strive to reflect in our community that is an uplifting vibe for all!
