<h2></h2><h2>Join Us for BuiltX on June 28! </h2>The Built Environment Exchange (BuiltX) is hosted by Northwestern’s Master of Science in Executive Management for Design and Construction (EMDC) program. BuiltX is designed for attendees to network, openly discuss best practices, and gain objective insights on industry trends. The event aims to foster a network of knowledge across disciplines and forge meaningful professional connections among those in the built environment. In partnership with the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA), the June 28 event will feature the panel discussion, “What’s on the Horizon with Cook County?”  Moderated by EMDC faculty member Jackie Loewe, the panel will feature:  <ul><li>Elizabeth Granato, Bureau Chief, Cook County Bureau of Asset Management   </li><li>Jennifer &quot;Sis&quot; Killen, Superintendent of Cook County’s Department of Transportation and Highways  </li><li>Earl Manning, Director of Capital Planning and Policy  </li></ul>AGENDA: 7:30 a.m.	Continental breakfast and networking 7:50 a.m.	Opening remarks and introductions, EMDC director Shelley C. Wayman Ave. The <a href="https://www.mccormick.northwestern.edu/executive-management-design-construction/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">MS in Executive Management for Design and Construction (EMDC)</a> program equips current and future executives with the enhanced skills, strategies, insights, and network needed to successfully lead organizations in the built environment. EMDC is designed for emerging leaders with eight or more years of progressive AEC industry experience and is committed to addressing the most current professional challenges. The curriculum combines classroom-style learning and interactive group work to cover business, management, and strategy topics. Students also choose electives to tailor the curriculum to their individual career goals. Graduates leave prepared to lead in architecture, engineering, construction, the military, and public or nonprofit agencies. The <a href="https://www.cmaanet.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Construction Management Association of America (CMAA)</a> is an industry association dedicated to the practice of professional construction management. CMAA represents more than 16,000 members including federal/state/local government and private sector owners, construction consultants, technology suppliers, academia, and legal organizations all with a common goal: to improve our nation&#x27;s infrastructure. CMAA’s mission is to promote, support, educate, and develop professionals who lead the delivery of programs and projects within the built environment.
