As layoffs at big tech companies continue to make news, there are doubts about whether tech careers can be an accelerator for economic advancement for Black learners and workers. However, tech is still one of the industry sectors projected to be a major driver of economic growth in the future. What do the latest trends in tech jobs mean for Black learners and workers, who are already underrepresented in the tech industry? And how can our education and employment systems support Black learners and workers in accessing and advancing in tech careers?
