About this event

Employers have a tremendous role to play in helping youth develop their talent in ways that align with the skills they need. Each meaningful conversation between employers and youth increases future employment rates and wage earnings. Paid internships also increase the likelihood that youth will enter the world of work with skills the right skills. This forum is for business leaders, workforce development organizations, and educators to learn about the power of intermediary organizations to design and support the implementation of paid internships.

Eva Mitchell, President and CEO of the Coalition for Career Development Center will host a forum in collaboration with the Boston University Wheelock Center for Future Readiness that features Kevin Fudge, Director of Advocacy with American Student Assistance; Susan Wally, President and CEO of PrepKC; Doug Elmer, Vice President of PrepKC; Taylor White, Director of Postsecondary Pathways for Youth of New America's Center on Education and Labor; and Deanna Neugles, Associate Director and the NA and Dallas Local Market Development Lead at Accenture.
