Building a Path to Unity:  A Virtual Symposium on Racial Healing, Equity, and Unity

The City of Rancho Cucamonga and Healthy RC's Compassionate Community invites you to attend Building a Path to Unity: A Virtual Symposium on Racial Healing, Equity, and Unity.The recent events these past several months have greatly disrupted our lives and challenged us in many ways, and have once again placed a spotlight on issues around racism, racial inequity, and social justice. Healthy RC's Compassionate Community Subcommittee continues to work together to ensure that we can provide our #RCcommUNITY a safe space for all voices to be acknowledged and heard.We are excited to invite you to our first ever Compassionate Community Symposium on Thursday, November 12th from 5:00pm to 6:30pm. Together, we hope to identify specific strategies and action plans that will help foster healing and unity in Rancho Cucamonga.Symposium Agenda<ul><li>Keynote Speaker:  Dr. Gail C. Christopher is an award-winning social change agent widely recognized for designing and pioneering work on infusing holistic health and diversity concepts into public sector programs and policies.  She is the former Senior Advisor and Vice President of the W. K. Kellogg Foundation and past Executive Director of The Institute for Government Innovation at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.  In 2019, Dr. Christopher became the Executive Director of the National Collaborative for Health Equity (NCHE).</li></ul><ul><li>Heartstorming Session:  Be a part of the solution!  Help shape future efforts to unify our community in uprooting racism. Together, we will work to identify strategies and action plans to dismantle racial inequities as we strive to make Rancho Cucamonga the healthiest it can be for everyone who live, work, and play here.</li></ul><ul><li>Healing Exercise:  Join us for a peaceful reflection and get reinvigorated through a professionally guided mindfulness exercise.</li></ul>We hope to see you all there!
