Celebrate National Small Business Week by attending a half-day workshop dedicated to growing your small business in Fairfax County.
Every year, since 1963, the US Small Business Administration (SBA) takes the opportunity to highlight the impact of outstanding entrepreneurs, small business owners, and others from across the nation through National Small Business Week.
Join the FCEDA and SBA Washington Metropolitan Area District Office, District Director, Antonio Doss, who will kick off the celebration with opening remarks. In addition, hear from local small business experts who will discuss various subjects at the half-day event dedicated to building and growing your small business in Fairfax County. International award-winning, financial planning expert, Ric Edelman, will deliver the keynote address.

Our Keynote:
Ric Edelman
Ric Edelman is executive chairman of Edelman Financial Engines, LLC and founder of Fairfax-based Edelman Financial Services. For 30 years he has worked to teach everyday people about personal finance as an advisor, radio host and noted author. Widely regarded as one of the nation’s top financial advisors, he has three times been ranked the No. 1 Independent Financial Advisor by Barron’s and ranked No. 11 on the 2017 list of the nation’s Top Wealth Advisors by Forbes. Mr. Edelman is the 2017 recipient of the IARFC’s Loren Dunton Memorial Award for Lifetime Achievement for his “substantial contribution to the financial services profession and the financial interests of the public.” He is an inductee of Research magazine’s Financial Advisor Hall of Fame and was named among the “15 most transformative people in the industry” by Investment News. Among his nine books about personal finance is his most recent, The Truth About Your Future, published in 2017.
