Build a Mug Pottery Workshop

Seeking a sensory experience to release stress and provide a creative outlet? Join artist Beth Rosenkoetter in making a lovely nature-inspired mug you’ve always wanted! Or maybe make the mug you never knew you needed! Join Beth in this fun 2-hour workshop where we will build a mug out of clay slabs. You can use lavender flowers and leaf pressings in the clay from the fields of Lavender Rhapsody to create a one-of-a-kind look that no one else will have!

A Little About the Instructor:

Beth Rosenkoetter is an all-star when it comes to teaching workshops and classes for both pottery and painting. She has been working with clay for 25 years and has been instructing students for about 20 years. Her work leans towards beauty in nature, and she works and practices relentlessly to create and hone her skills. Beth travels to engage with others about wheel throwing, hand-building, or painting a lovely landscape. You can check out her work on her website: http://hartsbendstudios.com. Beth has one grown kid and one dog (still lives at home).

For the Safety and Enjoyment of Everyone

  • Dress for the occasion as you will be walking on rocky roads and grassy, uneven field surfaces. Comfortable shoes and sunscreen are highly recommended. We also suggest wearing insect repellent and a sun hat.
  • We have many pollinators working in the field during bloom time. If you have bee or other severe seasonal allergies, please take personal precautions.
  • No smoking, vaping, or use of tobacco is allowed during your visit.
  • Although we love dogs, you will have to leave them at home. Our farm is a working farm and residence, to protect our lavender plants, fields, and landscaping, we do not allow pets or other animals. Please contact us in advance if you have a service animal.
  • We kindly ask that you “leave no trace” and carry out anything you bring in. Thank you!

Photography

As you explore the rows of lavender, we hope you take some memorable photos. Personal cell phone photography during your visit is always welcome. Photos can be taken when we are open during the U-Pick. If you capture a photo you adore and share on social media, we would love it if you would tag us @LavenderRhapsody!

Professional photographers, receiving payment for work, please contact us at to inquire about scheduling a photo shoot in the lavender fields. A site fee applies. We are not able to accommodate photographers during our U-Pick hours.
