We are coming to a new location! Come join our team from Brave the Wave, Malibu Boats,and David Rotter Prosthetics in Rockford, Illinois on June 21, 2024 for a day filled with wakesurfing! (Event exact location will be posted at a later date. )This event is for individuals with a range of physical disabilities. All ages and levels of those with physical disabilites are welcome from first time wakesurfers to experts! Our crew will provide all necessary equipment needed for participation. There will be professional wakesurf instructors and prosthetists on hand to help all adaptive participants achieve their goals. Join us for a memorable day on the water, where you can try something new and connect with your local adaptive community!

This event is a once in a life time experience!! Come learn how to wakesurf from adaptive wakesurfer Lexi Kuppler, and our group of coaches from Brave the Wave and Malibu Boats!

AMPUTEE FRIENDS: Please note if you plan to surf with your prosthetic on please show up in a final socket. We will not be able to let anyone in a check/test socket surf. Thank you for understanding in advance!

EVENT WILL INCLUDE:

  • Learn the fundamentals of wakesurfing, or advance your skills.
  • Opportunity to learn from professional adaptive coaching.
  • Opportunities to test out the latest prosthetic technologies while wakesurfing.
  • Community-building with other attendees and families in your community.

PROFESSIONALS ON-HAND WILL INCLUDE:

  • Professional Wakesurfing Instructors
  • Certified Prosthetist Orthotists (CPO)
  • Professional wakesurfing instructors

Registration is required for individuals with physical disabilities participating in the clinic. Family and friends are more than welcome to hang out on shore! We are only able to allow one family and/or friend to join on the boat due to limited space. All minor will have priority to have a guardian on the boat with them first. Lunch is provided for anyone attending! All participants will be required to sign a waiver. If the participant is under 18, a legal guardian or parent must be present to ride on the boat and sign the waiver.
