BTCC Power Analysis Workshop
Explore the role of power in your life/work, and what opportunities we have to improve communities through upstream intervention.
Join Building a Thriving Compassionate Community (BTCC) for our upcoming Power Analysis Workshop!
Power imbalances are the most upstream root causes of the inequities we seek to change, so they're the most impactful sites for intervention as we try to improve our communities. This training uses Human Impact Partner's power analysis resources to explore 3 frameworks of power, and then explore how they show up in our lives and organizations. Participants will get to dig into how they, and the organizations they're a part of, wield power, and explore how they might move into models of sharing power more equitably.
Presenters:
Stephanie Solomon, MPH:
Stephanie Solomon is the DELTA Coordinator working in Primary Prevention with the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence (ICADV). Formerly the ICADV Youth Program Coordinator, she joined ICADV’s prevention team in 2021 and currently focuses on state and community violence prevention strategies. Stephanie is passionate about co-building spaces and strategies that promote safety, stability, and nurturing.
Hannah Lencheck:
Hannah Lencheck (she, her) serves as the Community Engagement Specialist for Stone Belt, where she focuses on building narrative power around issues of disability justice. She brings more than a decade of experience to her role, including work in legislative advocacy, communications, and primary prevention. Outside of working hours, she can generally be found walking her dog, slinging clay at the local pottery studio, or tending to plants in the garden.
