About this event

  • 1 day 7 hours

The BSides Security conference is back in Greenville, SC for TWO days on September 21st and 22nd at Fluor's Greenville campus right behind Haywood Mall!

We have an exciting line up of speakers this year kicking off with our keynote presentations by Chris Sanders of Applied Network Defense/Rural Technology Fund who literally wrote the book on Wireshark, honeypots and so much more, along with Leslie Carhart, Dragos' Incident Response Lead for North America and SANS instructor.

We have added a third track for speakers and have some new and returning faces across now three different speaking tracks with a fourth option for sponsors. Once again, we have the support incredibly supportive and generous sponsors to help make this one of the best BSides events in the region with a dizzying number of exciting prizes to give away! In addition, we will have a free party on Saturday night we hope every makes it out for!

I n addition, we will be hosting several side events including a reception the night before of the conference for women that work in cyber security, a techie scavenger hunt in Downtown Greenville for prizes and Happy Hour events!

This year we are proud to have the BSides Security conference return to Greenville to help further the conversations around cyber security in not only the greater region, but the growing community in Greenville and the surrounding area, in a relaxed, fun and casual environment.

Each BSides is a community-driven framework for building events for and by information security community members. The goal is to expand the spectrum of conversation beyond the traditional confines of space and time. It creates opportunities for individuals to both present and participate in an intimate atmosphere that encourages collaboration. It is an intense event with discussions, demos, and interaction from participants. It is where conversations for the next-big-thing are happening.
