The Workshop will include presentations from the City of Birmingham and Region 4 Environmental Protection Agency on a suite of pre-existing planning tools to promote growth and redevelopment in the Greater Birmingham:
Land Bank Authority - Phil Amthor, City of Birmingham
Code Enforcement/ Community Courts - Ronnie White, City of Birmingham
Brownfields 101 Basics – Cindy Nolan, Region 4 Environmental Protection Agency
Topics covered will include:
Brownfields grants, funding amounts, grant cycle, and opportunities for revitalization post assessment
N. Birmingham Case Study – Amber Courtney, City of Birmingham Mikhail Alert & Greater Birmingham Regional 
Planning Commission with Brian Holtzclaw, Region 4 Environmental Protection Agency
Topics will include presentation of key components to a successful Brownfields program which include establishing a Brownfields inventory, Brownfields Task Force and conducting community engagement to result in a winning Brownfields proposal.
