British Female Founders Pitching and Networking Event
The British Consulate-General Boston and Morgan, Lewis & Bockius are pleased to invite you to a networking opportunity as we welcome a delegation of UK female founders to Boston.
The startups will get the opportunity to pitch to a panel of expert judges and receive valuable feedback. This is also a networking opportunity for you to meet with the founders to learn about their companies and connect with other key members of Boston's business community.

Harriet Cross - Her Majesty's Consul General to New England
Harriet has been a member of the UK Diplomatic Service for 20 years. Before coming to Boston her most recent position was as Deputy Ambassador in the British Embassy in Sana'a. Due to the conflict in Yemen, she had to organise the evacuation of the Embassy and subsequently spent the rest of her posting in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In her diplomatic career Harriet has served at the British Embassy in Morocco and at the UK Mission to the UN in New York. She has also worked in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London covering EU trade relations, and human rights policy. During her career Harriet has taken time out from diplomacy to work as an International Policy Advisor for the UK's National Crime Squad.

Gitte J. Blanchet - Partner, Morgan Lewis
Gitte has more than 16 years of experience as a corporate, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and securities lawyer. Gitte focuses her practice on mergers and acquisitions for companies from emerging businesses to large public corporations. Gitte has an active corporate practice representing public and private corporations, investment management firms, and private equity and venture capital firms.
Priyanka Naithani - Vice President, Harris Williams & Co.
Ms. Naithani is a vice president in the Technology, Media & Telecom Group at Harris Williams & Co. Ms. Naithani has advised clients on M&A and capital raising transactions across a variety of sectors within technology, including software, SaaS, healthcare IT, technology-enabled services, digital media, and eCommerce.
Christina Weaver Vest - Partner and Managing Director, Hicks Equity Partners LLC
Ms. Vest is a Partner and Managing Director of Hicks Equity Partners LLC (“HEP”), the direct investment arm of Thomas O. Hicks' family office, which she joined in 2005. Ms. Vest has over twenty years of private equity investment experience, having previously spent 10 years at Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst prior to joining HEP. In addition, she has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of both public and private companies and has extensive experience as a member of the board of directors of many public and private companies. Ms. Vest received a Bachelors of Arts degree from Harvard University and a Masters of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
