Bristol Comedy Night!

TheBristol HEZProject is a community-wide effort funded by the Rhode Island Department of Health to create innovative approaches that can reduce and manage chronic diseases, promote healthy lifestyles, assure healthy child development, and create environments where healthy choices are easier to make. Bristol HEZ brings together existing organizations, stakeholders, and partners that focus on the health and well-being of the community into a formal, sustainable collaborative. Bristol is fortunate to have the resources of numerous social services and community-based organizations. Currently, these groups are working independently in the areas of public education, social services, recreation, and nutrition without a combined strategy. Bristol HEZ brings them under one umbrella to accomplish more in the area of public health. The Bristol HEZ Collaborative works together to identify the health risks and needs of the Town and moves forward common objectives around health-promoting programs, services, and community design.This project was supported by the grant or cooperative agreement number DP005511, funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). Its contents are solely the responsibility of the authors and do not necessarily represent the official official views of the CDC, HEALTH, or Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).East Bay Community Action Programprovides a wide array of health and human services to the residents of RI's East Bay.East Bay Centermerged with EBCAP in 2016 but has been building healthy and caring relationships for over four decades. The center offers comprehensive psychiatric and counseling services to people who struggle with mental illness and substance abuse disorders and frequently works with those challenged by depression, anxiety, addictions, trauma and co-occurring medical problems. Programs range from crisis intervention to medication management to vocational development.

Bristol Health Equity Zone and          East Bay Community Action Program

A comedy fundraiser to benefit the East Bay Recovery Center, featuring comedians from "Addicted To Laughter", a non-profit organization which brings stand-up comedy to recovery centers all over New England. 
Prepaid tickets are $25, limited tickets will be available at the door for $30. Tickets available online now, or at Paper Packaging & Panache, Common Pub & Grille, Market Street Pub, and East Bay Recovery Center beginning September 1st, cash or checks only, made out to "East Bay Recovery Center."
Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 8pm. Tickets include food and soft drinks. Bring cash for raffles.
