Careers in Peacebuilding Talk Story Series&quot;Bridging the Divide: Training volunteers &amp; community members in Peace Corps Guyana&quot; with Fahzeela Mohamed, Damian Owens, and Stephanie SangLearn about exploring the journey into the profession.The SessionJoin us for a talk-story with Fahzeela Mohamed, a past Peace Corps Language and Cultural Facilitator, Housing Specialist, and Small Grants Manager. Learn about her unique perspective and stories of training, preparing, and facilitating partnerships between host-country communities and Peace Corps volunteers in Guyana&#x27;s Education, Health, and Environment sectors. Also joining us will be Damian Owens, who served as a Peace Corps Health Education Facilitator in Guyana from 2015-2017. Stephanie Sang, Peace Corps Recruiter at the University of Hawai&#x27;i at Mānoa and served in Madagascar from 2016-2018 will moderate the event.About Fahzeela MohamedFahzeela Mohamed was a Language and Cultural Facilitator for Peace Corps Guyana in 2015. She was hired on as the Housing Coordinator in 2016 and added the role of Small Grants Coordinator in 2018 to her portfolio. She enjoyed being a part of Peace Corps Guyana&#x27;s work and supporting Volunteers as they fulfill the goals of the Peace Corps. About Damian OwensDamian Owens is a High School teacher and Real Estate Agent in the Hawaii community. He served as a Peace Corps Health Education Facilitator in Guyana, South America (2015-2017). He truly enjoys effectively employing and developing strategies to help students grow their skill sets which will further their goals of joining building trades or the various college programs. About Stephanie SangStephanie Sang is the Peace Corps recruiter at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. She served as an education volunteer in the southeastern coast of Madagascar from 2016-2018.
