Event description

Description

Bridges to Action is a new speaker series at SJWC hosted by the Voices in Action (VIA) Group that focuses on bridging the gap between cultural communities, understanding our neighbors, and taking action to make connections.

Our inaugural event focuses on the Islamic community. We welcome three inspiring women for a panel discussion:

Join us for an evening of education, dialogue, Q & A, networking and much more. Tickets are complimentary, but do help us plan seating and refreshments. Parking on most streets surrounding the Clubhouse is free and unrestricted after 6 p.m. on weekdays, except the 00 block of S. 12th Street, which offers parking for residents only. If you prefer to park in a garage, the SJSU garage on S. 10th and San Fernando Streets is less than one block from the Clubhouse and offers parking for a flat rate of $5.

VIA is a new group at the San Jose Woman's Club. Our mission is to drive civic engagement, which leads to informing and taking action that positively impacts our community. Our group focuses on learning, sharing and doing, using our knowledge, skills and what motivates us to engage and support our community. The group meets the fourth Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the SJWC Clubhouse, 75 S. 11th St., San Jose. For more info, contact Group Chairs Laura Wolford, Julie Cecilio, April Halberstadt at via@sjwomansclub.org.
