Brickyard welcomes you to an Open Build, Open Invite Hackathon followed by a casual party Saturday night. Build whatever interests you &amp; form teams w/ whoever you like. There'll also be no shortage of ideas from 15 Brickyard CTOs if you need an idea or team to join. Count on great people, food, drinks, all the Brickyard amenities. We'll kick things off Friday, March 24th at 6pm. You can stay as long or as little as you'd like and come and go as you please and we'll wrap it up the following day, Saturday, March 25th at 6pm. Brickyard Hackathon FAQs:Q: What’re the dates?A: The Hackathon will start Friday, March 24th at 6pm and end on Saturday, March 25th at 6pm followed by a casual party, so stick around or just come for that if you'd like and hang out. Q: Where is it?A: 917 E. 16th St, Chattanooga, TN 37408. It’s a red brick, single story building. Look for the pirate flag on top. :) 🏴‍☠️Q: What is Brickyard?A: Brickyard is a venture capital firm with a founder residency. We invest ~$300,000 checks into pre-seed &amp; seed stage companies that want to ‘burn the ships’ and build their startups in Brickyard &amp; Chattanooga for at least a year minimum in the march towards product market fit. We’ve invested in about 20 companies to date and almost all of them came from outside of Chattanooga with founders coming from SF, San Diego, NYC, Austin, Chicago, Boston, Bham, ATL, London, Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Dubai, Cairo, Greece &amp; even Malta. We’d love to meet you and have you come hang out with us and see Brickyard. You’re welcome to stop by anytime or come by for the party Saturday night. As mentioned in the previous answer, these founders have come from all over the world and don’t necessarily know a lot of people in Chattanooga outside of the Brickyard walls. We’d love for you to meet these exceptional founders and vice versa, would love to have them meet amazing builders living in our community. Q﻿: Do I have to spend the night there or stay the whole time?A﻿: Definitely not. We don't really expect anyone to work for 24 hrs straight through the night, although you'll be allowed to if you'd like, so come and go as you please. This is as casual as it comes. Q: Can I form my own team and work with whoever I want?A: Yes, this is going to be very free form and you can choose your own team in advance or come solo and hop on a team. Q: The invite says there’s 15 companies pitching ideas. Do I have to work on one of their projects or work on something I come up with?A: You can work on whatever interests you whether it’s an idea you have, an idea another hacker has or if you need an idea to work on or a team to join, we’ll have no shortage of Brickyard CTOs who have cool projects to work on. This event will be pretty casual as far as the ‘rules’ go. Q﻿: Do I get to keep my own work?A﻿: Of course. Q: What Brickyard amenities are open to me?A: In addition to the 100 desk office where the hackathon will take place, we have a lounge with a large TV, a gym with just about all the workout equipment you need, a cold plunge, a steam room, a sauna &amp; showers that you’re welcome to use whenever you want to take a break and we’ll be there to guide you through it.Q: Do I need to bring anything?A: We will provide meals, snacks, coffee, drinks, etc, but please bring your own laptop. We have some monitors, but not for everyone, so bring one of your own if you’d like. We have a cold plunge, sauna &amp; steam room, which you are welcome to use while you’re here, in which we ask that you please bring a bathing suit to use these amenities. Q: Can I tell my friends?A: YES, please bring whomever you’d like and try to have everyone RSVP so we know how many are coming.
