Breech Basics with Nicole Morales
Join us for a 7 hour wokshop that covers breech birth from a midwifery model of mobile vaginal breech birth. We will review the normal and usual cardinal movementss of frank breech birth with simulations through the three levels of the pelvis. Once we embody reassuring breech, we will discuss deviation, timing, maneuvers, and extenuating circumstnaces. We will have foam models for simulations.
This course was developed by Spinning Babies® creator Midwife Gail Tully using the three levels of the pelvis. We will also be referencing shoulder dystocia processes for Breech birth complcations including FlipFLOP.
We will also do simulations, watch movies, and discuss case studies. We will be sending breech anatomy coloring books for preparation and handing out samples of Breech Competency Documentation for long term tracking of breech skills. Surprise breech can occur in any setting. Are you prepared to recognize what needs to be done and when?
