Diaphragmatic Mastery: Expand your Resilience (Online Event)

Join me for an expanding class designed to help you unlock the full potential of your breath by focusing on optimal use of your diaphragm. Our diaphragm is our primary breathing muscle. Through modern life’s stressors, we can begin to rely on our auxiliary breathing muscles (in our chest and neck). This perpetuates feelings of anxiety and can become habitual. This loop can continue until we interrupt the cycle. By reteaching our bodies to access our diaphragm we can: decrease overall inflammation, decrease overall stress, avoid digestive issues, support detoxification & lymphatic flow,, improve reproductive function, improve sexual function, increase athletic performance.

What to Expect:

Tuning in (5 minutes): We start by meeting ourselves where we are. Tuning in to what our breath feels like in this moment without judgment or need to change anything. The speed, location, strength, etc. and how this informs our current state. Awareness and acceptance of where we currently are is the necessary first step to lasting shifts.

360 Degree Warm-Up (15 minutes): Here we take the time to expand our entire diaphragm muscle. We will engage in various exercises in varying positions, allowing our bodies to find balance and function with greater ease.

Guided Diaphragm Strengthening (10-20 minutes): This portion is individualized per class depending on the participants present. This can be the most challenging part of the session. The goal here is to take our bodies to a comfortable edge in order to gain the most benefit. We will experiment with the wide variety of breathing techniques in order to achieve this.

Re-integration (5-15 minutes): As the journey concludes, we'll gently transition from practice to presence. This time allows your experiences to settle, integrating calm and clarity into your entire being.
