Breathe to Connect- A breathwork journey toward deeper mind-body connection
Virtual—On Zoom
Join from the coziness of your home, sanctuary, or other nurturing space.
20 minutes: Introduction and Brief Discussion
45 minutes: Breathwork Flow
25 minutes: Integration and Debrief
Breathwork is an ancient practice used by many indigenous cultures around the world. It’s only been recently that it’s made it’s introduction into Western society. My practice includes offering much gratitude and acknowledgment to these other cultures and our ancestors, for they are the original wisdom keepers and breathwork guides.
Although this event is focused on deepening your connection with your body, breathwork is a transformative practice that may evoke other experiences. Some other types of experiences may be:
· Enhanced clarity and intuition
· Stress relief and relaxation
· Emotional release and processing
Each and every breathwork practice will affect you differently due to many factors so it’s hard to say exactly what you will experience, but I invite you to join from a place of curiosity.
Our breathwork practice will be primarily using a 3 part circular breath, also known as Dirga, and our session will move through different paces of breathing which is 100% adaptable to your individual needs. The breathwork practice is best from either a laying or a supported sitting position. Blankets, eye masks, water, and a journal are encouraged.
Breathwork may not be everyone. I encourage you to trust your intuition and your own body. If you have a medical condition such as schizophrenia, history of seizures or strokes, bipolar disorder, unregulated cardiovascular issues, glaucoma, recent surgery, or other medical condition, please consult with your medical provider before engaging in this practice.
