We invite you to take this opportunity to cultivate stillness and express what arises.

Every time we guide our wandering minds back to the breath, we offer ourselves a fresh start. Every time we meditate and then pick up our pens to write in response to a poem, we are in a realm of unlimited possibilities.Lisa Freedman will lead this meditation and poetry workshop. We will start with a short meditation, read a poem as prompt, and then free write. We will then share our writings (optional), listening closely to each other. No meditation or writing experience is required.Lisa Freedman earned her MFA from the New School, where she now teaches “Starts in Silence: A Meditation and Writing Workshop.” She founded <a href="https://www.facebook.com/events/1748781221924250/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Breathe/Read/Write</a> in 2016. Her writings have appeared in Satya Magazine, Shambhala Times, and the anthology Resist Much Obey Little: Inaugural Poems to the Resistance, among others.
