Yoga, meditation, sound healing. An afternoon to reset and nourish with embodied movement, presence, and connection.
✨ WHAT IT IS
This is an afternoon of reset, recharge, and reconnection to our bodies. An afternoon to return to our breath, the individual and the collective. Where we embody the energies that flow within us and around us, through music and movement.
🙏🏻 OPENING CEREMONY
We begin with grounded intention setting. It all starts there, both within ourselves and as a community.
🌊 THE FLOW
75-min breath-centered vinyasa yoga guided by certified yoga teacher Arpa Imran. This is where we connect our life force (prana) to our movements (asanas). We start with grounded postures, then create fluidity in the body as the fire builds. We transition with intuitive movements that open the heart and steady the mind. All against a backdrop of live music and vocal channeling by singer-songwriter Sophia Rayne. All postures are offered with modifications and layers. None of this is about performance; it is rather about sensation and expression. Take what feels right for the body and soul, release what doesn't. This is about resetting and regulating the nervous system.
🧘🏻 CLOSING
We end with a nourishing sound bath and guided meditation to deepen into our core self and to elevate into a higher collective frequency.
🎒 WHAT TO BRING
Yoga mats. Water bottles. Comfy attire to flow in. Layers for post-movement. Pillows/blankets/bolsters for the sound bath. There are plenty of cushions at the venue, but BYO if you're more comfortable with your own gear. No shoes in the main area, but feel free to wear socks both on and off the mat.
🛋️ THE SPACE
Soft, squishy, cozy spaces are woven throughout the venue, inviting rest, reflection, gentle connection, or a moment to soften away from the mat. Main entryway has cubbies and shoe storage to stow away belongings. No food in the main area.
🚗 PARKING & ARRIVAL
Parking in the area can be limited, so we recommend giving yourself extra time to arrive, unload, and find parking. Arriving a little early will help you settle in, get oriented, and drop into the energy of the afternoon with ease.
