Breath & Release

Breath & Release

HanaiBend, OR
Sunday, Mar 29 from 2 pm to 3:30 pm
Overview

activate your core through stretching, self-massage, and breathwork

Join Dr. Morgan Knapp, physical therapist, and Jane Messersmith, breathwork and meditation guide, for an informative and experiential class centered around your core.

This class is designed for all activity levels and will help you better understand the anatomy and function of the muscles in your torso. Your core houses the diaphragm along with important connective muscle groups that play a key role in both mobility and stability throughout the body.

Through guided release techniques and breathwork, you’ll explore the powerful benefits of improving core mobility and awareness.

When your core can relax and move more freely, you may experience:

  • Deeper, more efficient breathing that supports oxygen delivery and energy levels
  • Reduced tension that may be contributing to pain or movement imbalances
  • Improved nervous system regulation, including decreased stress and improved overall well-being

During the class, we will review functional anatomy and practice exercises together using a soft abdominal mobilization ball. You’ll also learn to tune into your breath and body sensations before and after the exercises to notice the changes in real time.

Please bring:

  • A yoga mat
  • Your own Coregeous Ball (or similar). A half-deflated Pilates ball works well too.
  • A journal (optional) for observations and notes
  • Comfortable clothing suitable for movement

Coregeous Balls will be available to borrow during class, with the option to purchase one to take home before or after the session.

Class size is limited to 12 participants due to space.
