There will be light snacks from local restaurants and yummy barbeque with fixins! BREASTFEST IS...<ul><li>A PINK PARTY that invites us all to Celebrate &amp; Remember: Celebrate Life, Celebrate Survivors &amp; Remember those who have died</li><li>A funny name for a serious cause, our mom Tyanna was a very funny person</li><li>Five sisters lost their mother to breast cancer when they were 24, 21, 15 and 12 years old. In order to prevent that same fate for other women &amp; families, they started BreastFest and founded the Tyanna Foundation.</li><li>Raises funds that stay local benefiting St. Mary’s Women’s Imaging Center and local wellness programs</li><li>Founded in Athens, GA (1999) Now in five states up the East Coast: Baltimore (MD), Haddon Township (NJ), Philadelphia (PA), Dewey Beach (DE)</li><li>Flagship event of the Tyanna Foundation</li><li>Five sisters and an army of volunteers on a mission to improve the lives of breast cancer patients (&amp; their families) and eradicate breast cancers deaths in the U.S.</li><li>1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer</li><li>Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in women (lung cancer is first)</li><li>More White (Asian &amp; Pacific Islander) women are diagnosed but more Black women die from breast cancer.</li><li>Awareness and early detection can save your life #CheckUrBreasts</li></ul>In memory of Tyanna Barre O’Brien and our mothers lost too soon.
