Join SGMC Health's Birthplace for a specialized class covering Epidural Education and Breastfeeding Basics. In the first 30 minutes, learn about epidurals, exploring their benefits, risks, and potential complications. Gain insights to make informed decisions aligning with your birth plan.

The remainder of the class focuses on breastfeeding, led by an experienced Women & Infants nurse. Topics include the benefits of breastfeeding, positioning and latch tips, choosing a pump, and going back to work. Whether you're a first-time parent or seeking a refresher, this session provides practical skills and boosts confidence.

SGMC Health provides educational classes for expectant parents and caregivers. Classes are provided as a community service for the expectant parents in the area who plan to deliver their baby at SGMC Health.

Children are not permitted in classes. Dads are encouraged to attend all classes whenever possible. Please register for 2 if dads are attending.

Parking information - Please park in the parking deck and enter on the 2nd floor. Pass the cafeteria and make a right into the Meeting Rooms for the class.
