Welcome to Breakthrough Connections: Speed Dating & Relationship Forum! Join us for a fun and exciting in-person event at the American Legion. Kick off the night by meeting potential matches in a series of fun, fast-paced mini-dates designed to help you find that special someone. Registration for speed dating is optional, but you are encouraged to sign up in advance to secure your spot and help us plan accordingly. This event focuses on relationship health and exploring the facets of a healthy relationship. Therefore, the event welcomes not just singles but those interested in relationship health, in general. Registered guests can enjoy a decadent meal and deepen their understanding of modern relationships during our insightful forum, where experts will share valuable tips and answer your burning questions. Finally, let loose and enjoy the rest of the night at our social mixer, where our very own DJ, Worldwide Young, will keep the energy high and the dance floor packed. What is speed dating?

Speed dating is an organized event where participants have a series of short dates, typically lasting 3-8 minutes, to meet potential romantic partners.

How does speed dating work?

Participants rotate to meet each other one-on-one for a brief conversation. At the end of each timed round, they note if they are interested in seeing the other person again. Matches are notified later if both parties express interest.

Is there an age limit for participants?

Yes, there will be multiple age ranges during the event. The first round of speed dating will include participants in their early 20s to early 30s. The second round of speed dating will include mid-30s to early 40s.

What should I wear to the event?

The event is elegant. Therefore, some examples for women could include blouses, simple cocktail dresses, sundresses, dressy sandals, or heels. Some options for men include button-down dress shirts, polos, dark jeans, dress pants, dress shoes, or clean sneakers. Aim to look neat and presentable.

What if I don't find anyone I'm interested in?

Speed dating is a low-pressure way to meet people. If you don’t find a match, you can still enjoy the experience and possibly make new connections.

How will I know if I have a match?

After the event, the event organizers will review the scorecards and notify you of any mutual matches, usually within 24-48 hours.

What measures are in place for privacy?

Personal information will be kept confidential and only shared with mutual matches.

Can I bring a friend for support?

Absolutely! Friends can mingle at the relational event while you are speed dating. If your friend wants to speed date they would need to register to participate. Observing without participating will not be allowed to maintain privacy and comfort for all participants.
