About this event

  • 3 hours

What to expect: Join us at the Dutch Meadows dairy farm in Paradise for a hearty breakfast, beautiful views, and an educational presentation on the farm's recent silvopasture project. Led by the farm family and LFT staff, guests will get an insider tour of the farm property, where you'll learn about the benefits of silvopasture integration and the ways in which the Stoltzfus family plans to continue their work with the practice. Bonus: visit their on-site farm store and stock up on fresh produce, dairy products, and more!

Tickets are $25 per adult and $10 per child ages 3-12 (free for 2 & under). All proceeds from the event support our mission to preserve and steward Lancaster County’s farmland!

Frequently asked questions

Is this event rain or shine?

This event is RAIN or SHINE. In the case of thunderstorms or other hazardous weather conditions, we will announce cancellation/postponement via email at least 2 hours prior to the event.

Can I take photos during the event?

You are more than welcome to take photos of the farm (landscape, buildings, animals, etc) but please DO NOT take photographs in which faces are recognizable. Refraining from taking photos is more than just a courtesy; it's a sign of respect for our Amish neighbors and their way of life.

What should I wear?

This event is outside on a working farm, so please dress accordingly. We recommend closed-toe shoes that you don't mind getting dirty and clothes to keep you comfortable whether the sun is beating down on you or if the day gives way to rain.

Parking

LFT staff members will be available to help you find parking. While we do our best to provide convenient parking close to the event, not every farm property is the same - so please be prepared to walk a short distance. We encourage guests to carpool when possible to help limit vehicles.

Accessibility Concerns

This tour is suitable for people of all ages and abilities, but will involve walking or standing for the entire event and walking on uneven surfaces.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

We offer a buffet of breakfast food options. Please let us know if you have any food allergies and/or dietary restrictions and we will try our best to accommodate.
