Braxton Cook is a critically acclaimed American alto saxophonist, singer-songwriter, and producer who seamlessly blends jazz, R&B, neo-soul, and hip-hop. A Juilliard graduate, he initially made his name touring with jazz greats like Christian Scott and Christian McBride before launching a successful solo career.

Cook is recognized for pushing contemporary jazz forward, developing a signature sound where he plays the saxophone while also singing as a vocalist. His genre-bending approach has earned him a "jazz prodigy" label by The Fader and a "Top Five Jazz Artist to Watch" mention by Ebony Magazine.

Braxton won an Emmy Award for his musical contributions and featured appearance in a mini-documentary about John Coltrane, titled "Giant Steps: The Most Feared Song in Jazz," produced by the news outlet Vox. He also won a Grammy for his production work on Taylor Swift’s 2022 studio album Midnights, as well as his featured contributions as a saxophonist and vocalist on Jon Batiste's album We Are.

Throughout his career, Braxton has collaborated and performed with a wide array of prominent artists, including Jon Batiste, Mac Miller, Butcher Brown, Robert Glasper, Rihanna, Solange Knowles, and Tom Misch. He also made several appearances on NPR's highly popular Tiny Desk Concert series.
