Branches from the Same Tree Report Release

At the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM), the Board on Higher Education and Workforce (BHEW) monitors critical national issues in the education and training of, and labor market for, the nation’s science and engineering workforce. It seeks to focus the expertise of scientists, engineers, educators, and economists on the formulation of national and institutional policies affecting our nation’s human resources in science, mathematics, engineering, and technology.

Please join us for the release of the new National Academies report, The Integration of the Humanities and Arts with Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine in Higher Education: Branches from the Same Tree, which analyzes the benefits of undergraduate and graduate experiences that effectively integrate STEM, Arts, and Humanities. The report is the culmination of a two-year study that examined the evidence behind the assertion that more integrated educational experiences can better prepare graduates for life and work.
