Event description

Description

BrainWorks, a theatrical performance and future public television series, explores the wonders of the human brain by dramatizing real-life neurological cases to reveal the science behind brain diseases, including Alzheimer’s disease, epilepsy, brain tumors and stroke. This fascinating production is a collaboration between Washington University neurosurgeons Eric C. Leuthardt, MD, and Albert H. Kim, MD, Barnes-Jewish Hospital and the Nine Network of Public Media.

What began in 2011 as an annual TED-style lecture series about advances in medicine became neuroscience theatre, selling out multiple performances and introducing new ways for the public to understand the human brain. Nine Network’s BrainWorks production—a televised one-hour special—won a Regional Emmy in 2016. Drs. Leuthardt and Kim are nationally renowned neurosurgeon scientists and hosts of the Brain Coffee Podcast.

After this performance only, there will be an Opening Night VIP Experience, hosted by the Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital. This additional ticket will give you access to an exclusive VIP reception immediately after the performance. Enjoy complimentary hors d’oeuvres and cocktails while you hear directly from the stars of the show, Albert Kim, MD, and Eric Leuthardt, MD, as they share how this concept emerged from a shared desire to drive innovation and save lives. Limited tickets available and an additional $50 per ticket. When purchase your tickets for the show, you can add VIP Experience tickets later in the checkout process.
