Payment will be due upon arrival at venue.] Pilgrim Chamber Players closes its 28th season with a tribute to two great Romantic composers — Robert Schumann and Johannes Brahms. On Sunday, May 31st at 3 PM, world-class chamber musicians perform Schumann’s deeply romantic Fantasiestücke, Opus 73 for viola and piano, followed by Brahms’ passionate, bold Cello Sonata Number 2 in F major. The program concludes with Brahms’ ebullient String Sextet Number 1 in B flat major. Cellist and Artistic Director Steven Honigberg — who studied with the legendary cellist Leonard Rose, famed for his Brahms recordings — leads an exceptional ensemble including special guest violist Toby Appel as well as violist Anthony Devroye; violinists John and Karyn Macfarlane; cellist Haddon Kay, and pianist Marta Aznavoorian.
