About this event

Jump on a school bus and head out to the beautiful northern Michigan wilderness for a timed morel mushroom hunt. Participants will be in the woods a total of 90 minutes while soaking in the beautiful scenery, smelling the fresh spring air and soil, and listening to wildlife scuttle through all while keeping a keen eye for those treasured morel mushrooms. After the hunt Kiwanis Club will count your treasures and return them to you. A winner will take home bragging rights and a trophy!

Transportation to and from the hunting location is included in the registration fee. The morel hunt will take place rain or shine. There is no guarantee participants will find morels and no refunds will be provided.

Onsite registration *may* be available the morning of the event at a rate of $40. If you are hoping to register the day of the event, you'll want to show up by 7:30am for the best chance at securing a space. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged as there is no guarantee space will be available the morning of the hunt.
