Boxing Fundamentals Workshop
Level up your boxing workouts by learning and applying the fundamentals at Unified Boxing Club in Hollywood.
The Boxing Fundamentals Workshop is designed for people with little or no previous boxing experience. Our coaches focus on teaching the basics and laying a solid foundation of good technique, which will empower you to confidently step into any boxing fitness classes or get even more from your current boxing program.
This workshop offers a great blend of theory and application, led by an expert coach who has fought over 20 amateurs in New Zealand and has been an international fitness coach for over 10 years.
The workshop is broken into three main fundamentals of boxing:
- Foundation: starting with the most important, which is stance & basic footwork
- Offense: the 6 basic punches - basic form & technique
- Defense: the 4 defense movement - elusive and efficient head movement
The workshop will get you moving and provide a good workout, but the focus is mostly on boxing instruction and technique. It is perfect as an introduction to boxing for beginners and also great for anyone wanting to improve or brush up on their boxing fundamentals.
No previous boxing experience is necessary, but ideally, you will have a basic fitness level before participating.

If you haven’t received personal feedback or guidance during your boxing workouts or are unsure about what you're doing, this workshop is perfect for you. Not only will you learn techniques, but you will also have the opportunity to apply them and receive personal feedback.
Not at all! Our beginner's boxing workshop welcomes individuals who have done boxing fitness for a while, including complete beginners. From learning proper stance and basic punches to practicing footwork and defensive techniques, you'll receive personalized instruction tailored to your skill level
Comfortable workout attire and athletic shoes. Don't forget to bring a water bottle, we have a water bottle filling station to use. If you have boxing gloves, please bring them, but don't worry – we'll have limited gloves available for rent ($5) and hand wraps ($15) for purchase during the workshop.
No, the workshop is non-contact and focuses solely on teaching fundamental boxing techniques and drills. While you'll have the opportunity to practice these skills with partners, sparring won't be involved. Your safety is our top priority, all activities are conducted with supervision and guidance.
