Description

On January 10, 2016, the world was stunned and saddened by the death of David Bowie. Bowie was one of pop music's most influential talents, a trendsetter and fashion icon, a consummate artist and a tireless innovator. David had a profound influence on many of our lives - in so many ways.

According to the Tibetan Book of the Dead, one's soul remains on earth for a period of 49 days before being reborn in a new individual. On February 28th, 49 days after David Bowie's death, we will gather to celebrate his amazing life and help usher him into the next one.

The event features participatory readings from the Book of the Dead followed by a live performance by Bluebird, a new collective of Bay Area musicians and Bowie fans.
