Bounce into Basics is a foundational curly hair class appropriate for stylists of any level wanting to dive into the world of curly hair. We are dedicated to creating a new standard for curly hair salon experiences and invite any and all who are also ready to rewrite the narrative for all curly hair guests. We will be breaking down the intricacies of curly hair specialty across a hands-on three day course to cover the basics of curly hair consultation, styling, cutting, and business. If you are ready to feel more confident in your handling of curls and expand your curly hair service menu, then this class is for you!

Redefined Curly Hair Education is a curly hair education program aimed to break down stereotypes and push the boundaries surrounding curls to help you master your curly hair artistry. We are working to redefine our understanding and perception of curls to empower our guests to reclaim and rewrite their curly hair narrative.

Our mission is also to help stylists extend their knowledge of curly hair and grow in their confidence as curly hairstylists. We are doing so by making the information and skills needed to offer a higher standard of curly hair services more accessible to all. If you feel called to the pursuit of ending the cycle of traumatic curly hair experiences for our guests and are ready to expand in both your curly hair knowledge and service repertoire then join us as we redefine curly hair.

Frequently asked questions

Is lunch included?

Yes, each day lunch and snacks will be provided from a local deli. Food allergies and preferences will be accommodated.

Will we be working on live models or mannequins

A combination of both. On day1 for our styling class we will have live models, on day 2 as you practice cutting techniques and foundational shape building you will work on mannequins. On day 3 as we put your new skills to work you will have live models.

Who are the educators?

How many students will be in the class?

For day 1 a maximum of 12 students for the hairstyling, consultation and essentail elements portion on the class.For days 2 and 3, a maximum of 6 students.

Is this a look and learn or hands on class?

This class is hands on every step of the way.

Will we be working with tighter curls, or coily hair?

For this foundational class we will be working with wavy, and curly textures.
