Our mission is preserving and enriching the culture of Southwest Louisiana.  We accomplish this by housing a permanent exhibit on the history of the sulfur industry and how it has played a role in developing the city of Sulphur, Louisiana.

UPDATED:  BOUDIN WARS &amp; STARS AND STRIPES IN THE PARK RETURN TO SULPHUR IN OCTOBER!
"Faith Family and Community Day" and Boudin Wars are two upcoming, family-friendly events happening during one fun-filled October weekend in Sulphur, Louisiana. 
Culinary traditions run deep in Louisiana, and boudin is one of the unique food items that can be found in the state. It’s a blend of pork, rice, onions and parsley served in a sausage casing. The 6th annual Boudin Wars will take place at the Brimstone Museum Complex located at 900 S. Huntington St. in Sulphur, La. from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Local restaurants and stores including Market Basket, Hollier’s Cajun Kitchen, Popillion’s Boudin &amp; Sausage, Hackett's Cajun Kitchen, B&O Grocery, and Fork in the Road food truck, and more will be allowing visitors to sample their boudin recipes, and visitors will get to taste the “Best Boudin in Southwest Louisiana.”
Stars &amp; Stripes Car Show will also be held during Faith, Family, &amp; Community day, a new event in Sulphur meant to honor all the members of our community who volunteer in and serve our area. The car show will begin at 9:00 AM and continue into an afternoon of free food and fun. There will be Trunk or Treating in Heritage Square before Movie in the Square – Hocus Pocus begins at sundown. More details about this exciting new event to come.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the Brimstone Museum or at <A HREF="http://www.brimstonemuseum.org" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">www.brimstonemuseum.org</A>. Each ticket allows the bearer to get a small sample from each boudin vendor. Boudin Wars is an event previously recognized by the Southeastern Tourism Society (STS) as an “STS Top 20 Event,” and is sponsored by the Lake Charles/Southwest Louisiana Convention and Visitor’s Bureau.
