Botanical Printmaking
Use foraged materials to create dramatic images from nature.
Join Marin-based photographer and printmaker Ben Davidson and photo teacher and artist Laurie Reemsnyder for a creative printmaking workshop using botanical material gathered from the garden grounds and Marin’s hills and forests.
We start with a 20-minute “foraging” walk around the 11-acre garden, then head to the Cottage for a 60 minute printmaking session, using the cyanotype (photo) process if the day is sunny. On an overcast day, we will gather plant material to create elegant botanical stencil prints.
All participants will receive a wooden frame to showcase their favorite creation from this fun and informative nature walk and printmaking workshop.
