Description: Create your own fresh floral jewelry!

In this class you will learn floristry skills as you craft a necklace made from fresh flowers and botanicals.

We will cover subjects such as:

  • Floral necklace mechanics and construction
  • The elements of floral design
  • Choosing flowers for wearable design
  • Botanical jewelry longevity and care

Each student will leave the class with their own completed necklace and foundational knowledge about botanical wearables. These necklaces make great accessories for special events such as proms, weddings, and cocktail parties.

Tuition: $55 + $50 materials fee

Materials: All materials will be provided.

Cancellations and Refunds: Workshop cancellations are decided three business days before the start date. If workshops must be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, the entire class fee will be refunded through Eventbrite, or you may leave your workshop fee in your Contemporary Craft account for future workshops.

Refund Policy: Student refund requests must be made at least three business days before a class begins. There will be a $25 cancellation fee. No refunds will be given without three-business days notice. Processing of refunds takes approximately three weeks.

About the Artist

Soren Soto is an artist, FDI certified floral designer, and business owner in Pittsburgh, PA. He is originally from the Detroit area where he spent nearly a decade as a curator and exhibiting artist. After moving to Pittsburgh, he began working in the floral industry where he became fascinated by the profound roles that flowers have in our everyday lives.

In 2023 he opened Galleria Botanica, a Pittsburgh-based floral studio focused on a curatorial, fine arts approach to floral design. He is now offering workshops for others who are interested in learning floristry techniques and finding the joys of creating botanical works of art.
