Welcome to the Boston International Piano Competition, with 40 contestants gathered, the largest piano competition in the Boston area.

Join us June 6 - 9, in Pickman Hall of the Longy School of Music, 27 Garden Street in Cambridge, for four days of passionate performances of Beethoven, Chopin, Mozart, Bach, Brahms, Debussy, among many other composers, where forty extraordinary individuals from around the world compete for prize money and the chance to play in a future solo recital in Boston.

Members of the jury are Michael Lewin, Wayman Chin, Yukiko Sekino, Roberto Poli and Renana Gutman. The event will also feature a recital by our 2022 winner, Gorden Cheng.

Sergey Schepkin and Hugh Hinton will give masterclasses on Thursday and Friday morning, and Saturday morning features a festival of local pianists, who are not only members of the competition’s hosting organization, the Boston Piano Amateurs Association, but four of them are also first-prize winners in piano competitions.

Preliminary rounds -- Thursday and Friday, June 6-7, 12:15 - 6 PM.

Semi-final round -- Saturday, June 8, 1:15 - 7 PM.

Finals -- Sunday, June 9, 2:15 - 6 PM.

The rounds, masterclasses, festival and piano marathon are open to the public at no charge. We gratefully accept donations, and as a 501(c)3 organization, all donations are tax deductible.
