Morning Session: Advanced Classes:

NOTE: Access through the Members page and use the Advanced Student Promo Code from your instructor to see the tickets.

Who can join: You need an invitation, an active BSG membership and an Advanced certificate.

What happens: These lessons dive deeper into advanced arrangement styles. Forms are from the Ohara school curriculum aligned with the certificate level that you are at. It's a more focused experience to advance your training.

11 - 1 Advanced Class

11 - 11:15 Arrive and set up workstations

11:15 - 11:30 Instruction

11:30 - 12:30 Arrangement

12:30 - 1 Critique

1 - 1:30 Clean up and / or prepare for second class


Afternoon Session: Advanced levels: Self Study

What happens for Advanced students: This is a self study session for basic arrangements or well known arrangements selected by your instructor. You will start as early as you like (perhaps when completing the first session) and make the arrangement on your own. Senior students can help Critique junior students. The instructor will only give a brief critique when the arrangment is completed.

Afternoon Session: Open Classes: (Introductory through Advanced levels):

Who can join: Anyone, no matter your skill level. Open to the public and BSG members.

What happens for Introductory students: You'll learn how to create foundational styles of ikebana arrangements. You can either use our share containers and tools or buy your own containers and tools at the beginning of the class.

What happens for Advanced students: These lessons dive deeper into foundational and advanced arrangement styles. Forms are from the Ohara School curriculum aligned with the certificate level that you are at. It's an opportunity to focus on advanced techniques and to advance your training.

2 - 4 Open Class (Advanced and Beginners)

2 - 2:15 Arrive and set up workstations

2:15 - 2:30 Instruction

2:30 - 3:30 Arrangement

3:30 - 4 Critique

4 - 4:30 Clean up
