What to expect:

We introduce pupils to four key species that Born Free cares for, elephants, tigers, orca, and hedgehogs. Pupils will learn interesting facts about each species and learn about the threats they face. They will also learn how they can each make small changes in their daily lives to help protect each of the species above.

About BioBlitz 2024:

BioBlitz is an interactive, participatory, one-day event bringing together families, school groups, and local community members to engage in nature-based learning with University of Kent students, scientists, and local wildlife experts, including Kent Wildlife Trust; Butterfly Conservation; Kent Moth Group. Hosted by the Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology (DICE), the aim of the event is to record as many species of wildlife as possible on campus.

Please note:

This workshop is aimed for children ages 5-11. All attendees under the age of 16 will need to be accompanied by a guardian during the workshop.
