About the Comedians:

ROBIN WEINBURGH (USA) is from the country of Texas, where he worked as a stand-up comedian from 2000 to 2008, winning Houston’s Funniest Person in 2001. During that time, he worked with Patton Oswalt, Jim Gaffigan, Kevin Nealon, Mo Amer, and Emo Phillips. For reasons known only to him, he gave up that glamorous life of lonely travel to bad hotels and strange bars to become a lawyer and start a family. He returned to stand-up in early 2023 shortly after moving to Belgium. Presently, he defines himself largely as the father of a five-year-old and spends most of his time unsuccessfully correcting his daughter’s use of the words “can” versus “may.” He inevitably will feel like he does not belong alongside such an esteemed group of comics but is very thankful you came out to support English stand-up.

CHARLIE STEVENS (UK) is a Brussels-based British comedian and founder of Side Splitters Comedy Club.

After crashing onto the comedy scene in Malta and honing his craft on shows in Paris, Charlie now regularly features in shows across the Benelux region.

Telling enthralling stories written from a unique point of view, he explores the intricacies of everyday life and what it's like to be a Brit in the EU, which doesn't really feel like home anymore. Follow him on all social media platforms at @charliestevenscomedy!

HELI PÄRNA (EE) is a Brussels based freelancer working on comedy, writing, workshops and project management. She has performed over 100 shows, heads the Funny Women Brussels shows and submits short stories just to keep the rejection muscle going. She has been performing theater and writing since she was a child tapping into the lineage of creative women in her family and with standup she has found the perfect combination for all of her creativity.

After almost two years of performing in different shows and cities, including Brussels, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Geneva and Tallinn, where she premiered her first one woman stand up show, The Adventures of the White Unicorn, during Tallinn Fringe Festival, she is now preparing for her first time at the Edinburgh Fringe. She is the showrunner of Funny Women Brussels and organizes comedy writing work-shops as well as stand up events for employers who want to make their employees laugh (in a good way).

Off stage, Heli is usually reading, watching anything by Mike Flanagan and traveling.
